About Pigment Prints

Our pigment prints are artist-signed, limited edition, individually produced pieces with hand-deckled edges, making them nearly indistinguishable from the original works. Unique custom sizes are available upon request.

Pigment prints are created using a professional 12-color inkjet printer, which sprays individual droplets of ink onto watercolor paper at a rate of 4 to 5 million droplets per second, providing better color accuracy than other reproduction methods. This advanced digital printer uses continuous tone technology, with infinitely small pixels of color rendering a smooth and consistent image faithful to the original work.

"Giclée" (zhee-klay) is a French word meaning a spray or spurt of liquid. Developed in the 1990s, "giclée print" refers to an image generated from high-resolution digital scans and printed with archival-quality pigment inks onto various substrates. We use Arches museum-quality 100% cotton rag watercolor paper and archival pigment inks with a lightfastness rating of 100 to 200 years. The quality of our pigment prints using giclée technology rivals traditional fine art reproduction processes commonly found in museums, art galleries, and photographic collections.
